Losing a Racer.

May 27, 2012

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of one of our fellow competitors.46 year old Todd Adamson was doing what he loved to do today as he raced his motorcycle under a blue sky on a beautiful day in the desert on what would be his final ride.

Although our sport is a dangerous one, it is also one that gets into our very soul and remains there our entire life. Riding and racing in the desert is something that cannot be explained to someone who has not experienced it, but to those of us who have,
I'm sure we all know the reasons Todd was out there today.

Friends said that he was having the time of his life out there in the race, and as family and friends try their best to keep this in mind while remembering Todd, there will always be the sadness of such a great loss.

Todd was new to U.S.D.R. racing, but his memory will live on as we dedicate our future May events him. Last year we lost one of our founding members, my Father, we then instituted our first namesake race "The Don Earll Memorial." We now have two.

We hope to see everyone at next years "Todd Adamson Memorial"

To all of Todd's family and friends. To all of the U.S.D.R. staff and rescue crew. To everyone in our U.S.D.R. family.......God Bless.

Dave Earll.
